This is a two hour free / tip-based walking tour around the heart of Reykjavík with english speaking local and a history graduate. The main focus is the general history of Iceland and the evolution of reykjavík as a town. We also tell you about elves, vikings, food, nightlife, music, economic aspects and political affairs. Finally there are the funny facts you didn‘t know about Iceland and the places you must check out.
The tour is completely non-commercial and non-sponsored. There are no meals included, no shopping involved nor any food stops or toilet breaks. In case of bad weather, construction, parade or similar occasions the tour is adjusted accordingly. Indoor stops are frequent in winter. The walk itself is about 2km long and is wheelchair accessible. Kids of all ages are welcome. The classic tour is always in english, but we also offer it in, spanish, chinese mandarin and any scandinavian language for bigger groups upon request. A private tour is therefore possible for a negotiated price via e-mail.
My walk runs 100% on donations from guests at the end of each tour to your guide.
