Walk Details:

Visit the art galleries and museums of Delhi which showcase some of the rarest collection of artifacts dating back to ancient civilization of India.

Delhi houses some of the best museums in India, the most prominent and largest National Museum at Janpath which has a remarkable collection of Indian art and sculpture, dating from the prehistoric era to the medieval period. Museum serves as a cultural centre for enjoyment and interaction of the people in artistic and cultural activity.The Museum presently holds approximately 2,00,000 objects of a diverse nature, both Indian as well as foreign, and its holdings cover a time span of more than five thousand years of Indian cultural heritage.

We will also visit the National Gallery of Modern Art(NGMA), with a collection of more than 14,000 works including works by artists such as Thomas Daniell, Raja Ravi Verma, Rabindranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, Jamini Roy, Amrita SherGill as well as foreign artists, apart from sculptures by various artists. The gallery showcases the changing Indian art forms through the passage of more than 150 years.

Explore the rich holdings of various creative traditions and wonderful collections in the museums and art galleries of Delhi.

Finally we will visit India Gate, the 42-metre-high monument erected as a memorial in honour of the Indian and British soldiers martyred at the North-West Frontier during World War I and Afghan Wars in 1919.
